On September 6th, 2016, 8 riders started and finished the 17th time trial of the season. Weather Conditions at the start were sunny, 29C and calm, ideal for a September time trial. The fastest rider was Mike Nash. The first ABC rider was Michael Coldwell with a time of 25:09. Chad Dempsey rode on his own and posted a Course Best despite having to stop for a car at the turn. Mark Miller did manage to get to the start on time despite tire tube issues, seemingly a continuation of the streak of valve-faulty tubes from the previous week.
Celia adds: The last column indicates how those of tonight's riders who have already ridden a Clayton Road TT in 2016 did relative to their previous season-series best. The EvtFactor shown in the header line of the results gives an idea of how people did, on average, relative to their season-series best.
Please note, that the second to last 15km Time Trial of the 2016 season will be on September 13th with the watch starting at 6:00 pm and with sign in starting at 5:30 pm. PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE TIMES ARE 1/2 HOUR EARLIER THAN IN AUGUST DUE TO DECLINING LIGHT LEVELS IN THE EVENING. A TAIL LIGHT IS RECOMMENDED.
Please note on your calendars that the Annual Awards dinner is the evening of Friday, October 28th at Union Hall. We will send out more information towards the end of September.
Thanks to our Helpers: Anne-Marie Carter-McAuslan was the time keeper ably assisted by Logan Perry and Jacques Morvan. Fred Geuer was the Turn Marshall.
